Autumn

There’s nothing like the crisp, chill of a fall morning. Everyone and everything is happy.

Saturday morning was chilly.  I mean fleece and hat chilly.  But by the time the late afternoon rolled around it was dreamy outside.  T-shirt, shorts, cool air perfection.

I imagined this weekend was going to be calm, relaxing and full of a whole lotta nothin, but boy was I wrong.

We finally went to the Pumpkin Patch for some quality photos…behold the chaos.

The poor souls that happened to show up when we arrived heard nothing by four crazy parents screaming…TOMMY….JULIA….TOMMY LOOK OVER HERE….JULIA!!! These pics sum of the experience perfectly.  One looks at the camera, the other does not.

And repeat.

It was nuts and I totally took for granted to the peaceful moments last year when you simply place the baby between a bunch of pumpkins, take a zillion pictures and bam!  A perfect pumpkin patch picture.

Little man is yearning to farm.

P.S. The seasons are changing…check out the leaves on my pecan tree…it’s fall y’all.

Beef Short Ribs

All credit goes to my dear friend Laura Nell for this amazingly delicious and EASY recipe!  Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am, let’s say, challenged in the culinary department.  So trust me when I tell you that this meal is delicious and foolproof.  It is a slow cooker meal so you simply throw in all the ingredients and your set.  It takes a minute to plate and voila!  I took a quick pic of our meal this evening so you could see the finished product. You will be blown away, I promise!

Beef Short Ribs

1 package, Beef Short Ribs (1-2 ribs per person)

1 bottle, Stubbs Beef Marinade

1 bottle, Stubbs Original BBQ Sauce

2 tbs, Olive Oil

Step 1: Lightly coat ribs in olive oil and slightly brown both sides on the grill (pan will work too).

Step 2: Combine ribs, beef marinade and BBQ sauce in slow cooker.  Cook for 8 hours on low.

Step 3: Serve over mashed potatoes with a sprig of rosemary for garnish (if you want to spice it up a bit) 🙂

Step 4: Enjoy! It’s really that simple.

Friday Fun!

My sister Emily and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our weekend then to head to Morgan’s Wonderland for some Friday fun!

This is the second time I have been there and it truly is a magical place.  I am absolutely blown away by every single detail that went into the creation of this park.  It is the perfect place for all ages to play, and the staff and volunteers couldn’t be better!  I also want to mention that next Friday, October 28th is $5 Friday! No reservations are needed, just go and enjoy the wonderful weather and fabulous activities!  We can’t wait!

Tommy and Julia loved playing with all of the water activities until Tommy got a little wet…then we quickly moved on to dryer land.

He would have been perfectly happy if we played on the slide all day long.  He got such a kick out of it.

Miss Julia did some shopping at the market…decisions, decisions.

Tommy got one look of the train and he was ready to roll.  He came prepared, TRAIN shirt and all.

TGIF everyone!
